Your BT Lines Are Safe
We are being told that many businesses are being approached from telecomms companies indicating that their current BT lines are out of date and may cease after an upgrade due in the local exchange. This is almost certainly not true:
The 3 main types of lines are ISDN30e / ISDN2e (both digital) and analogue. None of these are under threat. A very old type of ISDN2 (none of our 5-600 customers use them) are being ceased and that seems to be the thread of truth being used to make the approach.
The upgrade to BT exchanges is being rolled out in this area and brings to many the opportunity to have better Broadband (ADSL) connections. This in turn makes more viable the new method of lines / calls over Broadband mormally referred to as VOIP (Voice Over IP). This technology may or may not be beneficial to your business, particularly better Broadband connections, but not necessarily voice lines.
Comms UK offer to give the best advice to businesses for the long term as we do not employ commission sales staff and only offer lines, calls, broadband and Voice Over IP on 30 day rolling contracts.*
*Existing services are immediately on a 30 day rolling contract. New services are initially on a minimum of 3 months to one year from networks.
